ELLICOTT CITY, MD – County Executive Calvin Ball will lead a hospital appreciation caravan on Tuesday, May 12th at noon through Howard County General Hospital’s campus. Staff from the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, Police, Recreation & Parks, Office of Emergency Management, the Sheriff’s Office, and hospital volunteers will join the caravan.
“This National Hospital Week we want our nurses, doctors, technicians, and everyone that makes our hospital run smoothly to know how much we deeply appreciate their work and dedication through this crisis,” said Ball.
The hospital employees appreciate the desire of the public to show their gratitude, however, this caravan is for Howard County Government vehicles and pre-selected hospital volunteer cars. Residents are encouraged to show their support by staying at home, making signs of appreciation, and sharing on social media using #HoCoLoves.
Media that are planning to attend should contact Sharon Sopp, HCGH Media Relations at ssopp@jhmi.edu.
