Beginning Monday, December 6, 2021, we have new hours for Birth Certificate services.

Monday - Friday 
Walk-In Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 
Appointment Only Hours: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
     (Call 410-313-6300 to make an appointment) 

• You must present a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo identification. The identification must have a date issued and an expiration date.
• Birth Certificates cost $25.00 - Cash, Credit Card (Visa, Discover, Mastercard)
• Check or money order should be made payable to: Director of Finance. 
• For a child's birth certificate, only parents or legal guardians (must provide proof of guardianship) may obtain a child's birth certificate.
• For an adult's birth certificate, only the person named on the certificate, or his/her parents may apply.
• Applicants must have been born in Maryland after 1939.

Death Certificate Information

Death Certificates may be obtained by Funeral Directors only.

There is a charge of $30.00 for the first death certificate and $20.00 for each additional copy.
