Adult Service coordination seeks to accommodate adult members of the community with programs specifically geared toward those 26-to-55 years old in order to link consumers to the resources and programs which can help minimize the challenges which arise during an emotional health and wellness challenge. Programs and services include, but are not limited to: Mental Health Consumer Support Funding, connection to Adult Mental Health Resources and Oversight of community mental health programs, including Supported Employment and Residential Crisis Beds. Program Coordinator: Kimberly Fuller - kifuller@howarcountymd.gov or 410-313-7375.

State Care Coordination & Maryland Recovery Net Program (MDRN)
Content

Assists Howard County residents transitioning back to Howard County from substance use disorder inpatient detoxification centers, Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP), as well as detention centers. Must be enrolled in good standing, attending and participating in substance treatment to be eligible for funding support services (MDRN).

Hub and Spoke Program
Content

The Hub and Spoke program is designed to support buprenorphine-waivered prescribers with serving individuals who have an opioid use disorder. The program facilitates the transfer of patient care between Hubs - substance use disorder treatment programs and Spokes - community-based opioid prescribers. The Hub and Spoke Care Coordinator provides support to physicians and other prescribers of opioid medication providers through the referral process. The care coordinator assists providers with accessing wrap around services that will improve the care provided to their patients through:

  • Case management
  • Referrals to clinical treatment services
  • Transfer of patients back to your practice once treatment is complete

The Hub and Spoke can also offer patients access to other important recovery services, including:

  • Insurance
  • Peer support services
  • Housing
  • Transportation to medical appointments

TCA (Temporary Cash Assistance) Screenings
Content

Program Summary: Conducts substance use disorder screenings for individuals who have applied for Temporary Cash Assistance through the Howard County Department of Social Services. Based on these screenings, an individual can be referred for assessments by community providers. The TCA Screener will conduct follow-up to determine if the individual attended the appointment and will continue to follow-up with the provider for progress reports. Program Coordinator: Charniece Wilkes - cwilkes@howardcountymd.gov or 410-872-8753.
