Voter Registration List

Upon submission of a written request, any registered voter in Maryland may purchase a list of registered voters, a monthly list of new or cancelled voters, or a list of voters requesting absentee ballots. The requestor must sign a statement, under oath, that the lists are not intended to be used for purposes of commercial solicitation or any other purpose not related to the electoral process. Any individual who knowingly allows a registration list under his or her control to be used for commercial solicitation or any other purpose not related to the electoral process is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished under Maryland Law. The lists are available in either hard or soft copy and may be ordered until the close of voter registration for an election (21 days prior to the election). Maryland law (Code of Maryland Regulations 33.03.02.05 B) prohibits any voter registration list from being ordered after the close of voter registration and dictates that any request received by an election office after that date be returned unprocessed.

The cost for an initial voter registration list (either individual or household) is $75.00 for a CD. For supplemental lists, the cost is $10.00 for each supplemental CD.
