Police investigating suspected domestic murder suicide in Columbia
Howard County police are investigating a suspected domestic murder suicide that occurred inside a residence in the 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive in Columbia just after 2 p.m.
“Merry Mulch” Your Holiday Trees from December 26th Through January 15th
Howard County’s Department of Public Works’ Bureau of Environmental Services is once again offering residents a variety of FREE holiday tree recycling options through it’s “Merry Mulch” program. Trees can be recycled at local hardware store, parks and the Alpha Ridge Landfill, as well as through the County's curbside yard trim collection program.

Student charged with bringing gun to Reservoir High School in Fulton
Howard County police have charged a 15-year-old male student with bringing a handgun into Reservoir High School. The gun was discovered by school staff and reported to police.
