Howard County Government offices, 50+ centers, courts, animal shelter and Recreation & Parks’ Cedar Lane and Schooley Mill Activity Rooms and Meadowbrook Athletic Complex will be closed on Friday, December 31st in observance of the New Year’s holiday.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday on Monday, January 17th and there will be regular Monday trash, recycling and food scrap/yard trim services on the 17th.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday on Monday, February 21st and there will be regular Monday trash, recycling and food scrap/yard trim services on the 21st. 

Howard County Government offices, 50+ centers and animal shelter will be closed in observance of the Good Friday holiday on Friday, April 15th and there will be regular Friday trash, recycling, food scrap and yard trim collection 

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 30th. As there will be no Monday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap collection on Memorial Day, the County’s holiday "slide” schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week.  

Howard County Government offices, 50+ centers and more will be closed in observance of Juneteenth National Freedom Day on Monday, June 20th and there will be regular Monday curbside trash, recycling, food scrap and yard trim collections.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4th. As there will be no Monday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scraps collection on the 4th, the County’s holiday slide schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 5th. As there will be no Monday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap collection on Labor Day, the County’s holiday "slide” schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed in observance of the Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday on Monday, October 10th and there will be regular curbside Monday trash, recycling, yard trim and food scrap collection.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed on Friday, November 11th in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday. However, there will be regular Friday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim and food scrap collections.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. As there will be no curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap collection on Thanksgiving Day, the County’s holiday "slide” schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week.

Howard County Government offices and more will be closed on Monday, December 26th in observance of the Christmas holiday. There will regular Monday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap collection on the 26th.
