Howard County’s Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, June 18 to discuss the future construction of a free-standing, two-story East Columbia 50+ Center. Construction is expected to begin in July 2020.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball attended a ribbon cutting for a new facility for Freshly, a health-conscious food delivery service. The new 171,000 square-foot facility is located at Bollman Place in Savage and serve as the company’s East Coast location for food preparation, cooking, assembly, and distribution. Freshly has spent over $25 Million on this new facility and currently employs 500 workers, with plans to hire significantly more.

Howard County construction project to extend the water main at the intersection of US 1 (Washington Boulevard) and MD 103 (Dorsey Road) in Elkridge, is expected to begin on or about Monday, June 17. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late August.
